Uganda Community Family Day 2026 – A Day of Joy, Unity, and Togetherness

UNC Activity Day

On Saturday, 6th June 2026, the beautiful surroundings of Frognerparken came alive with laughter, music, games, and the warmth of community as families and friends gathered for the Uganda Community Family Day 2026.

Organised by the UNC Exectives, the event brought together children, parents, relatives, and friends from across the Ugandan community in Oslo for an unforgettable afternoon of bonding, celebration, and shared memories.

From the very beginning, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and positive energy. Children eagerly joined in races, group games, and outdoor activities, while adults also stepped into the fun — proving that community spirit has no age limit. One of the most beautiful parts of the day was watching children and adults participate side by side, encouraging one another and creating moments filled with laughter and connection.

Families came prepared with food to grill and share, turning the gathering into a vibrant cultural picnic full of delicious aromas, conversations, and togetherness. The grills stayed busy throughout the afternoon as people exchanged stories, enjoyed traditional flavors, and strengthened friendships within the community.

The event was more than just games and activities — it was a reminder of the importance of unity, belonging, and preserving community ties while living far from home. In a busy world, days like these create space for people to reconnect, support one another, and celebrate the values that bring the Ugandan community together.

The Uganda Community Family Day 2026 also highlighted the power of simple moments: children playing freely in the park, parents cheering from the sidelines, friends reconnecting, and new friendships being formed under the summer sky of Oslo.

A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who attended, contributed food, participated in activities, and helped make the day successful. Special appreciation goes to Grace and Tony for their dedication, organisation, and commitment to bringing the community together.

As the sun began to set over Frognerparken, many left with smiles, happy memories, and anticipation for the next community gathering.

Together, we continue building a stronger, happier, and more connected Ugandan community in Norway. 💚💛
